Dr. Neketa Watson is honored to serve as the Principal of East Lee County High School, bringing more than 25 years of educational leadership and a steadfast commitment to academic excellence, student achievement, and community engagement.
Throughout her career, Dr. Watson has served the East Zone as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. She began her educational journey at Lehigh Senior High School before serving as Assistant Principal of Curriculum at East Lee County High School. She later served as Principal of Lehigh Acres Middle School and most recently as the founding Principal of Gateway High School, where she successfully led the development of a high-performing school culture focused on rigorous instruction, strong relationships, and continuous improvement. Under her leadership, Gateway High School earned an “A” school grade and became the highest-performing high schools in the district.
Dr. Watson earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership, and her work has centered on building systems that empower teachers, inspire students, and create sustainable cultures of excellence. She believes every student deserves access to high-quality instruction, meaningful opportunities, and a school environment where they feel valued, challenged, and supported.
As Principal of East Lee County High School, Dr. Watson is committed to partnering with scholars, families, faculty, and the community to cultivate a culture where everyone is empowered to succeed. Guided by the theme, “One Pride. One Purpose. One East – Building a Culture of Excellence,” she is dedicated to ensuring that every Jaguar graduates prepared for college, career, and life.
Outside of school, Dr. Watson enjoys spending time with family and her yorkie, Marlee, mentoring aspiring educational leaders, and traveling.

Mr. TreVon Davis is proud to serve as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum at East Lee County High School. A Fort Myers native and proud graduate of Lee County Schools, Mr. Davis has dedicated his career to supporting student achievement and empowering educators through high-quality instruction. Throughout his career, he has served as an English teacher, department leader, instructional coach, adjunct professor, and assistant principal, bringing a passion for professional learning and instructional excellence to every role.
Mr. Davis holds an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership and is currently pursuing his doctorate in Organizational Leadership. He is committed to building strong relationships with students, staff, and families while fostering a culture where every Jaguar has the opportunity to succeed. Outside of school, Mr. Davis enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and all things Harry Potter related. He is excited to be a part of the East Lee family and looks forward to continuing to build a culture of excellence.

Mr. Morrison

Mr. Morrison was born and raised in Belle Glade, FL. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Gulf Coast University and a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Florida. Mr. Morrison joined the East Lee County family in 2017, where he served as a United States History teacher. In 2019 he was awarded the Dr. Theron Trimble Social Studies Teacher of the Year Award for the state of Florida.
Mr. Morrison is a student advocate and is committed to building relationships and creating a safe learning environment for students and teachers. He is excited to continue to serve the Jaguar family!

Mr. Sanchez

Mr. Sanchez was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Lee County. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s in Health Science and later earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Now entering his 12th year in education, Mr. Sanchez has served as a teacher, AVID Coordinator, and Dean of Discipline at East Lee County High School. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and their church community. Mr. Sanchez is passionate about supporting students and building strong connections with families as part of the Jaguar team.

Mrs. Marics grew up in Lee County and graduated from Lehigh Senior High School in 2010. She attended the University of South Florida and obtained a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Psychology. A few years later, she returned to USF and earned a Master's in Education Leadership. With her 13th year as an educator in Lee County this year, she brings valuable experience and dedication to her role. On top of her professional achievements, Mrs. Marics is a loving mom to her daughter Emilia and proud owner of two adorable dogs, Dexter and Rex. When she's not enriching young minds, you can find her enjoying her passions for distance running, reading, and baking. Mrs. Marics is excited to make a positive impact by creating meaningful connections with students and families in our Jaguar community.

Mrs. Ellen Green is excited to begin her 24th year as a school administrator and 10th year at East Lee County High. Born and raised in rural Central Illinois, Mrs. Green has served in various administrative roles over the years and prior to administration, taught Middle and High School Social Studies. Mrs. Green has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and a Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration from Western Illinois University. Mrs. Green moved to Southwest Florida in July of 2017 to continue her administrative career as an Assistant Principal at East Lee County High School and is proud to be a Jaguar! On her personal time, Mrs. Green enjoys spending time with her husband, dog and cat. She enjoys riding her motorcycle, traveling and cheering on the Chicago Bears!

Jeremy Praegitzer is the Athletic Director at East Lee County High School. A graduate of the University of Idaho and former collegiate football player, he brings experience in athletic administration, education, and sports media to his role. Mr. Praegitzer taught for 12 years and previously worked as a Sports Director for a CBS-affiliated television station. He is passionate about developing student-athletes who excel through leadership, character, academic achievement, and competitive excellence. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his daughter, camping, and exploring Florida's natural springs. |
